Dear MCC Friend: This mailing marks the reappearance of our Stewardship Lists after a hiatus in the months preceding General Conference. In these listings we recognize and congratulate MCC congregations for their achievements and leadership in the areas of generous giving and attendance. Below you will find 4 lists, each of which spotlights a particular aspect of Leadership in Stewardship for the month of June 2010.
These lists are prepared from deposit records and data supplied by churches in the monthly reports they have submitted to the administrative offices in Abilene, Texas (USA). For your church to be eligible for inclusion in these lists, your report and payment(s) must be dated on or before the 10th of the month and received on or before the 20th of the month, as part of our covenant of ministry. Fifty-eight churches met the eligibility requirements for consideration in this category. Approximately 55% of that group reported average weekly attendance (AWA) of fewer than 51, 31% reported AWA of 51 – 150, 10% reported AWA of 151 – 350, and 3% reported AWA of more than 350. The ”TOP 20″ list below is composed of differently sized churches in roughly those same proportions.
